When It Rains

Contributed by Schnikes13 on Tuesday, 28th October 2003 @ 07:01:11 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Miserable doesn’t even begin to cover
What it’s like to feel this pain
I believe in the words of Shirley Manson,
“I’m only happy when it rains”

I wish all of this would end,
If that can’t, then I wish my life would
When I make others happy, I just bring myself down
I’m not doing myself any good

Being used by people you thought were friends,
Isn’t any fun at all
Because when you realize that no one cares,
Who is it you’re supposed to call?

When nobody gives a damn about you
And you don’t care about yourself either
You notice that with reality and dreams
You get support from neither

And then there’s the people who say they do care
But you know deep down that they don’t
And if they even had a choice to talk to you
You know they’d choose so they won’t

So who cares about you now?
Who gives a damn whether or not life’s ok?
Nobody cares what you choose to do
Nobody cares what you choose to say

Complete Misery doesn’t even cover an ounce
Of what it feels like to feel this pain
I believe in the words of Shirley Manson,
“I’m only happy when it rains”

Very moving... Man does this poem get to you when you read it. And you should think like that, people really do care just trust them.

This is great writing altho sad but very true at times.
To the comment about trusting, when a person gets to this point in life it's very hard to trust anyone!
Back to the writer, I know the feelinga and knew them for a liftime untill a very smart Dr. finally got me on Zoloft which was a miracle for me. See most times it's a chemical im balence in ones brain that keeps one from feeling any joy in life. It's common and you'd be surprized at the people who have and arn't on meds and the ones that take their medicene religously as I.
Life is hard at it's best but when your brain want let u process anything but negative thoughts it's living hell! Trust me *I do know what I'm tlaking about from experience.
Get to a Dr. and it might take um awhile to find the right meds for u but don't give up, please!
peace, joy, luv, the right meds,
emystar@msn.com
U can e-mail me anytime but the first time be sure to write something in the re: thing so I'll know who ur as all my new e-mails go to my junk mail folders till I get u on my list.
I can listen and I tottally understand your feelings but thank God and meds I can actually enjoy life now!

I do agree it seems at time that no one cares and sometimes its even the ones you thought where your enemys that show you the best. Things get better if you let them though. Just remember your life could always be or get worse. Tomorrow is another chance to make things right or better. Find better friends as well.
