Time

Contributed by Elude on Tuesday, 28th October 2003 @ 06:58:54 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

There was a time, yes there was a time
My heart caught the sound of a defeated
sigh lifted high out upon the wind
And it so touched my soul, I have never
been the same again
After all this time, yes all this time
You have found your own strength and
you stand tall among new friends
And I am out struggling against the
cold, night rain
With the unbearable pain of your words that
have slashed my skin
There is no time, no more time for me
There are no words that could ever tell
just how quickly you wished me away
I can only say I'm sorry that you became
disappointed in me
My love is all that remains, for time ran
out for me today

broken hearts are in the end, mended. Sometimes it takes a little more time but it happens. writing helps to heal our hearts and when you least expect it, it takes you on another journey. thank you for letting us get close to yours.
