Broken Pieces

Contributed by tundrahydra on Monday, 27th October 2003 @ 02:11:45 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Walking in these circles I can’t secure this place
Saying random things to open empty space
The darkness of the world is spinning
It’s spinning a topsy-turvy pace
I’m walking so much faster but I’ll never win this race

I know today that I’ll never feel good
I can’t help it but I feel like I should
And I feel kinda happy yet I feel kinda mad
This world has broken me and taken all I ever had

People waiting on the happiness that never shows
Learning all the things that everyone already knows
Confusion around me turning light to dark
The darkness fills me and takes me to greater lows
The lows are mad pits where no one goes

I know today that I’ll never feel good
I can’t help it but I feel like I should
And I feel kinda happy yet I feel kinda mad
This world has broken me and taken all I ever had

Death wanders over this crazed land
I’m waiting for the cold welcomed touch of his hand
The waiting is ever consuming
Consuming me in a rhythmic beat played by an unseen band
The Spectre turns the corner and…

I know today that I’ll never feel good
I can’t help it but I feel like I should
And I feel kinda happy yet I feel kinda mad
This world has broken me and taken all I ever had

This was truthfully sad, I know how you feel I live there from day to day and let my poetry keep away from the edge of no return.
There is hope there but you have to look dep within your heart, the only place where the pain cant reach,
Hope something in life brings some kind of happiness to you.
Excellent write.

wow very good indeed could have done without the repeating that stanza, but I guess that made it seem more like a song. I don't know if that was the intention, but once again a very good poem.
