Should I dare
expose myself…
my real self
to these b***ards
While all revel in their yet ongoing popularity
They don’t deserve to know me
Ahhh…
the late bloomer has blossomed indeed
Too bad
It took so damn long
Should I rub their noses in my
newfound dignity?
Should I give them a slight taste
of who I really am ?
What I have become
No
I think I should make them beg
for my recognition
Feebly attempting to replicate the past
in a pretentious way
has-beens…never-weres
Crawling out from under whatever rock they inhabit
Hugs and kisses
given all around
apparently
Nausea is not contagious
I must go now
GOODBYE
SIGH
I will never be remembered
for the person I am
