I stand here watching,
As in slow motion,
And before my seeing eyes,
My children’s minds are growing.
I lie here dreaming,
And in the commotion,
With the lens of my soul,
I see my children’s minds are knowing.
Someday on their own.
With compulsions all around him,
My young man striving,
To be the best that he can be,
Amongst the in-crown just surviving.
Tomorrow’s another day.
Gathering in her circle,
My little girl trying,
To be the finest in the club,
Baby’s hurt feelings, crying.
Yesterday is gone.
Stand up strong!
Face the crowd!
You are the best to me!!!

Yes I remember those same feelings when my girls were facing all the peer pressure, wanting to blend in yet wanting to be true to their upbringing and training. I think they all turned out pretty darn good. Love you Robbieb.
