The Girl

Contributed by crow on Sunday, 26th October 2003 @ 04:24:10 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Three scholars stood at the edge of the road,
a very young girl, made her way past,
carrying a much to heavy load.

Her body bent and twisted, her hands raw and bloody from carrying this stone"

Three scholars simply asked, child why don`t you throw the stone away.

Bent and bloody she simply answered;
Its all I have...........Crow

Hi Crow,
I have to agree that the line "Its all I have"
says so much.There are things I hold onto
whether they are good for me or not.
Great write.
