since

Contributed by eternityandaday4u on Sunday, 26th October 2003 @ 02:05:40 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

since i was a little girl i thought any thing can happen any thing can be
every one told me that the only person that could make it happen is me
they told me i was pretty
they told me i was kind
others told me i was ugly
they told me i was blind
they took my hopes and dreams
and threw them away or so it seems
they never wanted to be my friend
they acted, the ony friend i had was pretend
i thought to myself why did they do that?, why did they lie?
why did they hurt me and try so hard to make me cry?
then i met someone new
every thing she could do it seemed i could too
she saw in me all that i could be
she saw all that others failed to see
she was with me through my every fear
she was with me to wipe away my every tear
it was only then when i realized that my new friend was only a mirror

As brilliant as i this is, i can't tell if you're twisted, psychotic, or just plain depressed.

This is very good, never mind what others say you only need to trust yourself.I love the last phrase of your poem.
Well done.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
