Falling asleep as I sit here,
Sitting without fear.
Drifting off to amazing places,
Seeing all around me these excellent faces.
As my world darkens,
I find myself here,
Over there, look,
It's you with a tear.
You've finally figured out what's wrong,
You've finally figured out you don't belong.
Everything that was right,
Suddenly, somehow, you lost it in the night.
You don't know I'm here,
So I can't comfort you.
It hurts me so bad,
If only you knew.
I watch and I listen,
I feel all you pain,
I share all your problems,
But I look down in shame.
I listen contently,
The night passes by.
How much could I love you?
I let out a sigh.
You look my way,
You must have heard me.
You look my way,
You suddenly see me.
I call out to you,
But my voice is soft.
Even though you hear me,
I still feel so lost.
You start to walk over
As night turns to day,
I've waited too long,
And now you can't stay.
You live in my dreams,
You dwell in my mind,
You're only an image,
But I hope you'll be mine.
You may not be perfect,
I know you're not,
But you know all my flaws
And still stand in that spot.
Now as I sit here,
I think only of you.
I love you so much,
If only you knew.
