Darkness Creeps In

What do you do when all you feel is angry
And all you've got left is negativity?
I don't wanna tell you how I feel
'Cause nothing you could say can heal me
I'd cry on your shoulder if you'd just shut up
But I can't seem to cry and it's all messed up

What can you do when all you get is yelled at
And everything you say is wrong, on top of that?
I don't wanna be the way I am
And I don't wanna hear the door slam
I would give you more if I had it in me
But no matter what I do, I'm still empty

When you're stupid and dumb
And worthless as scum
When you're a sl*t and a *****
And always a bore
When you're deaf and retarded
And left discarded
When everything you know is wrong
And nothing is ever good enough
When you always have to be strong
And they think they'll fix you with tough love
When all your love ends up corrupt
And all you ever hear is "SHUT UP!"

What can you do
When the darkness creeps in
And touches your skin
When they convince you you're nothing
What can you do
When depression kicks in
And you just can't win
When you desperately need something
What can you do
When nobody can see
The monster you flee
When there's no way to find the words
What can you do
When nobody believes
Or tries to conceive
The pain you feel as the edges blur

wow i know exactly how you feel....i always hear from my family how worthless i am, bla bla bla, so this really hit close to home....i loved this, great job
