ADVERSARY OF THE ANGEL

I've always said God has a purpose for everything
I have trouble this once with one not absorbing
Why break one down that knew of no wrong-doing?
Why test our strength, stress our faith so on-going?
I understand much and I accept even more
But what design is it he has for us, this to endure?

I'll believe in him forever, til my breath doesnt come
With all that I am I put credence to his wisdom
But the adversary of the angel appears reaching, to be
using tenacious tentacles, suffocating our hope of being free.

I can't seem to be that rock he's so desparately needing
I find myself lonely in worst times of great heeding
I can't get myself up just to wollow and wade
Do I, what served best in a similar hard day...

I stand up, I fight back, chin up and PRETEND
That I'm strong and I'm confident and can stand to the end
But, all I really feel is the doubt and the fears
Kept all inside, for I can't let it out
or goes the glue that adheres.
