GIVEN UP
-----------------------------------------------------------

Memories... I remember them all,
they come to my mind, everytime I fall.
All the promises that were made...
nothing remains as they all fade.

Standing here, looking out..
this world that is so busy
wonder why, my life seems so dizzy.
A candy given to a child, snatched away before it could be tasted..
this life, that I have.. is just so wasted.

Like a stranger in the crowd, lost in my own thoughts,
thinking of all the lost battles that I have fought..
Striking down at me, with an iron hand,
like the waves of the sea,
wiping away the picture drawn on the sand.

The smiles and the love.. that seemed so divine
all of a sudden, doesnt sound so fine.
Breaking myself time and again
it only gets worse, this pain that I have to bear
burdens me.. and I just cant care.

I really like your poem, dear one.
How many times have I too said, "This is it, this is all for me!"
But please remember when you don't care....
It's not them that will miss you, but it's you that will be missed by you!
Please never give up....no matter how far the run.....just tell yourself, you have just begun...and with each passing day....do it over again....never giving up, sometimes the challenge can actually be fun!
