Summer moon

Topic: SongLyrics

come on do it again
make it last for so long
cant fight this feeling inside
might just be the night
that I finally get this right
and stand beside my shadow
instead of behind it
let my cars slip away
and leave your presence felt

how about a good time
with nothing to do
just sit here and talk to you
watch the night slip away
under the stars
just the thing to make it come together

the only light up in the sky
is the summer moon which leaves a twinkle in you eye
your hair surrounds me with the gentle breeze
your hand caresses me with such an ease
with you tonight im as happy as I could ever be

come on and just follow me
to the end of the path
walking the tight rope
make sure not to look down
get your feet on the ground
cause you know what you've found

too blind to see the moon
but my sight i use to see you
watch the sunset over the mountains
watch the sunset in your eyes
never wanted anymore
never grew out of my size

the only light up in the sky
is the summer moon which leaves a twinkle in you eye
your hair surrounds me with the gentle breeze
your hand caresses me with such an ease
with you tonight i'm as happy as I could ever be

when we, why we go
to places so concealed
my name is desire
your eyes aglow all in fire
loving you i will never tire

the only light up in the sky
is the summer moon which leaves a twinkle in you eye
your hair surrounds me with the gentle breeze
your hand caresses me with such an ease
with you tonight im as happy as I could ever be

Well, Rawj, I may have spoke out of turn in claiming your work
was impeccable after only reading one, (I hadn't realized at the time
you had been on here so long .. DAMN! my bad! lol), but I have now
familiarized myself with several of your pieces and still I hold true
to my first initial reaction. Your work is impossibly deep. There is
depth here that I think maybe you don't even realize.

This piece, I chose to comment on because the moon just happens
to be one of my MOST favoured subjects. The title drew me in
and I'm glad I stayed. There is a loveliness in this that cannot be
denied. It's just a sweet and wonderful "place" to be in. I want
to cover myself in this poem, nestling myself in all it's breathtaking
beauty.

You should interact more. I think many are missing out on the
glories of your work because they don't know it's here. :)

Excellent write, poet. I'll be reading more.

~Breezy
