If this write should disappoint you or make you think Im rude
Im sorry,then Im not, because,life has put me in a mood
I want to curse my bloody head off,jump up and down and scream
I want to roll over,fall from bed and find this all a dream
I have seen domestic violence,lived life close to the edge
Where the back of a hand was common,and near gave me to death
I have faced the loss of a child,she was 5 months in gestation
I have read and cried for Native Americans,the whole tribal Nation
Time and time again,I have gained a pet and watched them die
I have seen cruel acts of parents,and socked one mum in the eye
But never will I get over,and I'll never see the day
That I will ever understand,the life of a child snatched away
I want to choke the rotten mongrels,the cowards of this world
That taint the hearts,ravage the souls,of little boys and girls
Im telling you and believe me,if my own were to be hurt
I'd end up facing Satan,and most would think me dirt
But they are just the do gooders,saying life is precious,we should forgive
Yet to me they're full of cow dung,what of the childs right to live??????
I find myself pacing,back and forth and feeling rage
Thinking and shedding tears,for ones so young in age
Unable to protect themselves,defenseless without love
This is the only dispute I have with the Lord above
But I just wont go there,some people I may offend
This poems about the acts of "a" holes,scumbags to no end
On my knees I fell tonight and held onto my baby's bed
After watching little Indianna,with sweet dreams in her head
I cried for lil Coral,for Daniel and the many
Who I want so badly to protect,but I cannot save any
This depresses me and eats at me,I just want to wake one day
To find that all the evil,in this world has gone away
Away from tiny babies,the helpless and the young
But this will never happen,I fear its just begun
So all Im left with is anger,frustration and an aching heart
For the precious of this world,who's lives are torn apart
Oh if there werent any moderators,surely you would see
The deeper emotions speaking out,the other side of me
Let me in a room with the ones who take away sweet breath
And I will show you a piece of poop,tortured till their death

I personally would like to have just 5 minutes alone with anyone who would hurt a child in that manner. After I am done you can have whats left to take a crap on. You have a beautiful heart Shar.

Very good with you all the way I have something coming to me a long sort of the same line as this. The 'peice of poop' comment struck me as a little odd though.

| if i've ever been afraid of anything, it that something like this could happen to my child. your poem is so much more than a poem, more than an excellent write. your poem is an expression of anger and disgust, awareness, and uncomprehensible sorrow. what you have to say is powerful, as it is true. and it reminds anyone who reads it, how precious our little ones are. painted_echos |

| holy hell this is bloody amazing. never have I read such an emotional, honest poem that has nothing to do with the writer and instead is about the poor children of this world. You have such a kind heart Sharon and I too would love to be left in a room for even two minutes with these scum of the world. I know many people who do. Even the people you least expect, the people you think wouldn't care about children that much, when they see this sort of thing happening and hear about it on the news, it angers them so much. A very very very powerful write. Absolutely amazing. |
