Reality Factor

Contributed by jaeann on Thursday, 23rd October 2003 @ 04:45:49 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The ache is always there
three miles plus seventy-two
not a day in sight
that I could ever see you.

The trouble with us is
too much thought
naughty or nice
we just do what we ought.

The lust from day one
a simple little drive
rose petals and glitter
worth the will to survive.

The knowledge was easy
the road so dark
a painful reminder
we were more than just a lark.

The need for your touch
the validation of lust
is a constant demon
one I cannot trust.

The closing of the door
open the window wide
forever in my dreams
never far from you I hide.
