I've had hard feelings
they never go away
i've been thinking
but my thoughts of you, they never change
it's going to be awhile while i think of you. i don't know what to do.
when you silently,
when you quietly,
walk on by.

it happens when i stare at you
your eyes, they don't stare back at mine
my eyes tear when you sadden me
but i know there's nothing left to do,
nothing you can do
i'm still so empty, empty inside as the world keeps going on
but sometimes,
sometimes i wish,
you try.

but i cry
i still cry
when i know i can't have you

this love thing bothers me
it hurts me deeply
and it confuses me
and it plays with me
it hurts me
How can this be?
That you don't love me?

i've had hard, hard, hard feelings
i wish they would go away
sometimes it seems i hate, hate, hate you
but it's only because i love you, and i want you
when i start to cry i wish it could
wipe away my mind
but the thoughts,
these love thoughts of you,
they won't die.

but i cry
i still cry
when i know that I can't have you.
