When Does Life Begin

Contributed by norm on Wednesday, 22nd October 2003 @ 08:18:28 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

In case you don't know
I'm the oldest on site,
If anyone's older
It's not come to light.

I wanted to say,
Right off the bat,
There's sex in my life,
Think long about that.

You kids in your sixties
And those who are younger,
Write passionate poems
That speak of your hunger.

I find I'm unwilling
To write of the acts,
But here is a list
of various facts.

The 'Pearl' and I,
We look at each other,
A feeling envelopes
It feels like a smother.

To hold and to have
is part of our life,
The 'Pearl' is a super,
wonderful wife.

For those who think eighty's
The end of the scene,
LIfe becomes more
Like an oiled machine.

All the fancy poetry in the world could not touch me as this does..the feelings shared by you and your"pearl"..Just gorgeous!
I fully understand the years of committment involved...and not everything is always roses but you and your dear wife are the perfect example of real true love. Cheers to many more happy years ,sunny days and warm nights together *raises herbal tea*

It is wonderful to see
A couple happy as thee
Where the fire still burns strong
Even after this long

Impressed I am by your love
Surely blessed by heaven above
May many years more remain
And always with loves refrain

This was a very loving poem Norm, I hope you showed it to your best girl Pearl!
I'll never forget how shocked I was when I voluteered at the Old Folks Home. We were instructed to close the door gently if we walked in on some have interecourse. I laughed, and said, "You're kidding, Right?"
Well, they weren't kidding me, and that's when I decided....that wouldn't be a very bad place to be! TeeHee....Life never ceases to amaze me.
What a fine example you have set for us all!
Stay in good health, and change the oil numerously!
