Naked Purpose

Topic: DarkPoetry

hatred is free
come and visit me
then you may see
where the ire starts
from the broken heart
inside the w***ing tart
wearing fishnet and lace
in her hand sits the mace
her morality left no trace
pull up a chair
gather in the air
tangled in her hair
watch her simple flair
spinning out of control
which one shall she roll
wary the wicked mole
freedom's on the line
hearing all is fine
the dotted has long been signed
bright red lights
stairs that go out of sight
tried with all her might
to coax and coerce
filled her tiny purse
skipped town before the hearse
sank her half-filled cup
wore her hair way up
felt thoroughly corrupt
whiskey, smoke and men
never will equal ten
no strength to defend
cast a phantom's mask
hidden little tasks
no sunshine out to bask
ran from the hills
destined to be killed
the white cat is window-silled
all the tell tale signs
love's evil designs
blackened crumbling rose
uncomfortable is the pose
running so late
fear tempted fate
closed at the gate
bouncer be ye ware
familiarity is rare
no one left to care
run and never look back
nothing you ever lacked
the cards were crudely stacked
the ante was pain
the forecast was rain
from is eyes disdain
cruising for some sanity
revel in the banality
curse the dark insanity
she needs an easy way out
a strong voice to shout
a reason to be about

"love's evil designs
blackened crumbling rose"
truly a dark and beautiful write.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
