Insane or Just being Free?

Contributed by Daydreamer on Wednesday, 22nd October 2003 @ 12:16:39 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I hate it when you hold me down
I do a lot of things but I don’t run the streets in town
Don’t criticize me for chancing the street lights
I am young and not quite sane
I am sure you already knew that with me dancing naked in the rain
I just laughed when you told me to come back inside
I said I was calling the Gods you just shook your head and said my mind came untied
Its okay I know you don’t understand me
I don’t expect you to join me just understand fun is the key
If you can’t enjoy yourself then why bother living
I know you think I belong in a loony bin but I am just tired of giving
I went driving through town in my birthday suit
All the guys on the street are whistling and yelling “how cute”
You just shake your head and say “crazy girl”
But I am happy and I am a live in the life’s whirl
I am going strong and being free with no worries on my mind
You have shrinks search for mental problems but there are none for them to find
I am just rolling through life kicking up the sand
All I know is I am happy with the ability to stand
So I’ll still wake up at midnight for my margarita blend
And I promise tonight, that hole I punched in the wall, I will mend
So just sing with me cause you know we’re feeling good

Wow!
this is so beautifull!
Don't ever let anyone change u. Hang onto the freedom and cherish it 'cause as we get older the world leaves it's crap on our front door steps and makes liife cloudy.
Stay who ur.
This is such a good poem!
Luv it!
peace, joy, luv, free,
emy

As Michelle Branch once said - who wants to be ordinary in a crazy, mixed-up world? Great write with a great message. Sounds like you're having fun! Keep it up and don't let anybody bring you down!

Great poetry, wonderful images,perfect attitude!

Watch out for age and illnesses, look after your health above everything

Most people don't realise what a dangerous
vehicle our brain has become over eons of evolution.

Yesteday I saw a little spider weaving a web in my shed roof. It was almost too small to see and yet with a brain so small (that would fit into mine a million times), it was producing complicated chemicals of incredible strength and weaving them into a clever snare.

I began to wonder just what my enormous brain could conceive if I could really drive it................. Or.............what it could do if I let it get out of control.

I think you would enjoy the Rap I just wrote (Wrybods Wrap) it challenges convention
in a similar way

This is the first of yours I have read (just cruising the site) I'll try to do some more later.

Bob
