Coping With The Loss

Contributed by sicknivesevered on Tuesday, 21st October 2003 @ 06:14:49 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

So there we were - on the thirteenth floor
Of a graven apartment complex
And I was there - sitting in the chair
Looking at you; I was still perplexed
You were on the bed - And quietly said
This was the last room where you had found happiness
You poured the pills - it drove my chills
To form the first tears in my eyes from sadness

AND I CRIED NO!!!
AND I CRIED NO IN MY HEART

I held your hand - still trying to understand
Why do we have to be apart
There were so many - more than plenty
I thought as the blue death slipped down to your heart
And then you looked - at me and took
The plastic bag and placed it over your head
And you laid down - And I broke down
Inside, trying to face the fact you would soon be dead

AND I CRIED NO!!!
AND I CRIED NO IN MY HEART

Slowly you breathed - The most beautiful thing to me
It came to a halt - And I was struck with horror when it wouldn't start

Death had came - and left your pain
As it led you away
I was alone - and I couldn't go
Gazing at your beauty just for one more day

It was so brief
The time we had together
Why did it have to come back
I wanted you here forever
I didn't want you to die - I didn't want you to die
I didn't want you to die - But I...
Have to face this circumstance
And understand that I'll see you again
That this is not a desperate chance
To escape your pain
I'll see you again
