I'm just a girl
no more, no less
A plain simple girl
who can make a mess
This plain simple girl
has lots of feelings too
I laugh, I cry
like some other girls do
I may not be beautiful,
but my hope shines.
I'm ready to move forward,
never looking behind
I'm just a girl
What more can you expect?
I go on living each day
and I demand respect!
Plain, simple, girls like me,
we have feelings too
And I advise you not to hurt them
because you're only hurting you
So here I am right know
awkward, young, and shy
As I get out into this world...
before it passes me by
