Always Afraid

Contributed by MoonlitAngel on Monday, 20th October 2003 @ 08:04:38 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Sitting here by the window staring into nothing
In your mind I'm always crying over something
And you always say you've had enough
But you get so angry over stupid little things
Then you say you're sorry and you didn't mean a thing
It's always the same old story

And I'm always afraid you're gonna go
I'm always afraid you're not gonna stay
If I speak my mind
Will you walk away?

All alone I imagine you whisper in my ear
Silent words you never say I really need to hear
That I can't lose you 'cause you won't go
But every time you say you're sick of this and you're done
It hurts me more than you know even after I've won
And I just don't care anymore

'Cause I'm always afraid you're gonna leave
I'm always afraid you won't see this through
If I think about me
Will I lose you?

Don't shake my faith
Don't fill my place
Stay right here with me
Don't break my will
Hold me until
I know you'll stay right here with me

'Cause I'm always afraid you're gonna give up
I'm always afraid you're not gonna bother
If I fight back
Will you be a goner?
And I'm always afraid you're gonna quit
I'm always afraid you're not gonna try
If I risk it all
Will you say goodbye?

I wish I knew I can't lose you
But I'm always afraid you'll be gone

Another heartfelt poem from you... this was a great write. I think we've all felt like this at one time or another about someone special. Thank you for putting it into words.

You know you'll never lose me.I have told you that. Yes i say things, but the end we have talked these things out, or so you say....you never tell me thing i feel i need to know, more so your feelings on things, like the things i say or the things i do that upset you and make you feel this way, if you had before i would know. Dee i love you with all my heart can, and if your upset because of me, even if i'm mad at you i still can't stand to see you so hurt by me and my words. I hope that from now on you'll take your own advice and open your feelings to me, about things, everything and like you told me, i'll do the same, i'm trying. You know i wont give up, i am not a quiter! :P I love you and we will talk later.

*huggles Dee tightly* He won't leave.... He'd lose out, and he's not stupid enough to lose such a good thing... c'mon, give him more credit...
