I thought

Contributed by stephierose on Friday, 17th October 2003 @ 11:15:24 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

I thought she was my best friend
Forever 'till the end
I told them she was there for me
And that she had my back
They proved me wrong
I guess they were right
I never thought she'd do this to me
But she did tonight
I stayed at home all alone
And cried myslef to sleep
Tomorow I make not wake up
Cause I've drowned in my tears
I normally wouldn't let this get me down
But Catherine was more than friend
She was a secret sister
We had a special bond
She tought me right from wrong
She got me through each day
We share so many secrets
That I know she won't keep
All I can do is think about
How she let me down
Does she know she hurt me
Will she try to turn it around on me
Tell me that it wasn't her fault

They say that it's good to cry because crying lets out all the emotions you can't put into words. Let your heart cry.
It's a truly horrible thing, the betrayal of trust, and it should never happen. I could never feel the full extent of your pain, yet I feel some, and that small bit tears at my soul. Your pain must be terrible.
Take care, and I mean it.
David
