I have hit a dry spell.
I can’t think what to write.
I know you haven’t heard from me,
In at least one day and night.
I guess my tank’s on empty.
I didn’t check the gauge.
It’s time I put my pen to rest,
Writing of sex and love and rage.
My mind I guess has shut down.
The words don’t come with ease.
It’s time you write some for me.
So won’t you do it please?
This has made me very sad.
I go to rub my eyes.
But I find that there are no tears there,
For I told you I was dry!
