Parade Of Clowns

Contributed by jaeann on Friday, 17th October 2003 @ 02:06:47 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

all hope was lost somehow
simple retribution for all our sins
all purposes so crudely denied
she lost her soul and traveled within
pick a date....any date
but never one of your own
a lie shows the final poker hand
a destiny ill of fate was being shown
she lost her mind somewhere
her truths denied her fault
her reality gained such corrosion
she lost her reasoning by default
betrayed repeatedly by ones' own kin
her ire became so intense
her calculations ran so very deep
lived half her life that side of the fence
married off a daughter on the darkest of cold days
power slowly slipped from her gnarled fingers
her very last effort of control.....past her death and into this life yet lingers
a daughter passed down the aisle
so very full of brand new life
passed to the hypocritical side of adulthood
so unaware of future toil and strife
you chose her day ...worse or better
to remind her always of the score
for both child and man together destroyed
all that was whole within your core
you left this world knowing full well
the day would sometime dawn
recognition of some hateful purpose
with no one left to fawn
a day not unlike any other
a day doomed energy from the start
a lost little girl without a say
once again proven unworthy of your heart
a twelfth month..... a thirteenth day
a remembered day of birth
a treasured walk....a ring so true
all the pain embedded within the hollow earth
like mother...like daughter
you always liked to say
you're destined to repeat me in so many ways
for better...for worse
for lifetimes to come
i'll always remember your chosen little day

Great write. I feel your loss the best I can without being a victim myself. When I think about it I just become so angry and hateful at the world. Its the lowest thing I know. I pray death on the culprit.

I know not of the world you write
Seems to me it's out of sight,
Seems to me life's one big fight
And no one brought this up to light?

Dear Jaeann,
So much pain and heartbreak in this
write. How do you keep from being
bitter?I truly admire you that you can still
be such a caring and kind person.
Hugs from POOBEAR
