Missing Mom

Contributed by lowman613 on Thursday, 16th October 2003 @ 11:35:14 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Mom I've written so many poems about you,
but I cant help to write one more,
for every year I feel the loss through & through,
that you'll never walk in my door,
Its going on three years,
since I last saw your face,
I still cry those tears,
that memory I cant erase,
It hurts me now like the first day,
I thought this would get easier in time,
but the more I sit here and pray,
it turns out to be in rhyme,
Poetry is all I have,to say how I feel,
a letter of hope to you,
to help my heart heal,
to help me get through,
I miss you more as each year pass by,
because its longer that I've seen you last,
so much pain,I start to cry,
I think about the past,
Mom,I'm still missing you,
I know you can feel it from me,
I dont know what to do,
to send this pain free,
theres only one thing I'd like to say,
I love you more & more,
I will never forget all the days,
those memories I will adore!

Its been near 15 years since my mum passed and I still shed tears and wish and pray to have her here again..the emptiness never strays far..if at all it does stray.
I couldn't help but read through tears on this one...Beautiful and very touching

There is nothing wrong with finding it hard. I still find it hard to think about my sisters boyfriend who passed away and that was six years ago. I can only imagine how you must feel without your mother around. My mother means the world to me, and as I am only 16, I can't imagine ever being without her. This was a lovely tribute to your mum, and I am sure she is looking down on you smiling, because she has such a beautiful and kind hearted daughter.

Just keep her close in your heart and she is never far away...and keep writing about it
It will never really be easy but maybe someday you will find some peace

I can relate. It hurts to see that no matter how many years pass the pain remains as fresh as the minute you heard the news.
