My Heart Breaks
There’s too many children left in the dark,
There are too many parents afraid to talk.
There are things that need to be said,
Before our youth ends of dead.
This thing called sex is everywhere,
And kids are doing it without a care.
Lack of knowledge and lack of rule,
Plays innocences for a fool.
The pressure mounts, and so we cave,
Our self-respect we tend to wave.
All for a moment of pleasure we risk it all,
Seldom prepared for the fall.
They’re playing a deadly game of give and take,
And for them, my heart breaks.
