Without her we are lifeless satellites dreaming dreams.
And as I pull my head out I am without one doubt
Don't want to be down here feeding my narcissism
I must crucify the ego before it's far too late
I pray the light lifts me out before I pine away.
before I pine away.
before I pine away.
before I pine away.
So crucify the ego before it's far too late
To leave behind this place so negative and blind and cynical
And you will come to find that we are all one mind
Just let the light touch you and let the words spill thorough
Just let them pass right through, bringing out our hope and reason.
before I pine away.
before I pine away.
before I pine away.
before I pine away.

This poem makes me really wonder what the meaning is. I keep turning over in my head who this mysterious "her" could be. In any case, I find this poem fascinating. "Crucify the ego" is an excellent line. Except it's got a bit too much reference to Jesus' crucifixion for my taste, as I'm a Christian, and find that a taboo area to refer to, comparing it to our pains. But I loved the poem none the less. The mystery in this poem is so......... (for lack of better words) mysterious =)
Great write.
Love Joy and Peace,
