No one knows

Contributed by stargazer on Wednesday, 15th October 2003 @ 10:24:38 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

No one knows what it is like to be me,
to not know what it is like to not strive to be the best.
No one knows how it feels,
too have your life at your hands,
and not being able to grasp it.
No one knows what I think,
when someone tells me that
I've been wasting my time.
And no one knows how I feel,
when I know people like me,
but behind these eyes so many uncertainties remain.

And behind this crude smile...
and a fake laugh,
a lot is dying to show but no one knows.

No one knows what goes on in my life,
they take it for granted,
like everything has always been served on a platter.
No one knows that when I go to bed,
I have the same worries and wonder
if my words and writing are going to be enough.
No one knows what is going on in my life,
all the questions and yet no answers.
No one knows the love I long to have,
and how desperate I become
to have a love that's real.
And no one knows how I feel,
when I know people like me,
but behind these eyes so many uncertainties remain.

And behind this crude smile...
and a fake laugh,
a lot is dying to show but no one knows.

And sometimes I think... its better that no one knows.

PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every word spoke true to my feelings too! I realize what it's like to be where you are, and it hurts, I know. Your poem brought new light to my situation. Just an amazing work of art, you should be very proud of yourself.

Thankyou!
Love Joy and Peace,
JBP

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
