I look back quietly reading
My past in words before me
A tear may fall, a smile may form
As simbly I remember.
What oce brought pain is a memory now
And the joy, a warm place in my heart
I wonder, where did it come from
I wonder, when did it start.
Maybe it just always was
The is and the is not
Opposites co - existing
And in the middle, there is not.
A touch of love, a childhood prayer,
A voice heard in the night
How simply, we remember
How simply, we forgot.
What now stands before us
Has stood there once before
The facades to which we cater
Will become who we are in the end.
Ad I look back through the pages
Of all my have's and my have not's
I remember what I have always had
It´s the love, within my heart.
