Last Goodbyes

a lonesome boy stands tall
upon her dark grave
he can hear her whisper and call
his heart hollow like a cave
he held her in his arms
as she had her last breath
he held her bloodied palms
and watch her painful death
he killed her by a crash
others died too
it was a deadly smash
witnessed by a small few
crawled through the broken glass
he reaches to where she laid
she barely moves, without a fuss
he's destroyed but gives her shade
standing before her grave again
the clouds darken the skies
he writes he's dying words with a pen
and says his last goodbyes

Oh dear so sad, yet so beautiful. This is such a true write and unfortunately happens so many times in life. You put a tradgedy into words that I am sure many people can relate to. Good work...just excellent |
