Eating what we
Are meant to protect
Don't eat meat?
You're such a reject
They call you a loser
They call you names
Because you feel
For the animals' pains
You try to explain
Its just no use
They won't listen
They plainly refuse
They don't understand us
We compassionate few
Well how would you like it
If we just ate YOU?
We think we are smarter
More evolved somehow
Because we've got fire
So let's grill a cow!
It's not a person
Whose being consumed
So that means it's fine,
The masses presume
If it were a person
We'd all be sick
But it's just an animal,
Dumb as a stick
They stand in line
Ready for the kill
A man cuts its throat
The animal's still
He's missed the blood line
Oh well, who cares?
Just let the animal
Bleed out right there
You watch as the blood
Falls to the floor
You promise yourself
Not even once more
You just can't take it
You're too disgusted
It was never that "gross"
Somehow you trusted
You realize why
And how we can do
Without eating meat
Or using glue
For these are the evils
In our world today
Many more die
Than need to, I say!
All of this happens
Just for a patty
A Whopper with cheese
To make us all fatties
So what would you do
Go eat a turkey?
A burger? With fries?
Or just a beef jerky?
Maybe you've heard enough to change you...its just too bad this is what it takes.
