Lonely Weeper

Contributed by Breezer08 on Monday, 13th October 2003 @ 02:21:46 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Crystals form in the blink of a crying eye.
Falling fast to shatter on the ground with no reason why.
A lonely weeper perched on her window sill.
Every night, its like a repeating drill.
Long ago, she had a reason to weep,
Long ago, at night, she couldn't sleep.
No matter what she did, the memories were still there.
She would cry and cry screaming "It's not fair!"
Why scare me while I'm awake and haunt me while I dream?
I thought you were kind but you are just down right mean!
One day your haunting will bring my life to an end.
I'll die with a broken heart that won't be able to mend.
Years passed and he finally let her be,
But there is part of this picture you didn't see.
The lonely weeper passed away,
And even till this rainy day,
She is trapped and tortured for all eternity.
This lonely weeper is me, unfortunately

OH MY! This was absolutely terrific! Not one bad word needs to be said. I can definately relate. You used excellent words to describe torture and lonliness. Excellent poem. Thanks for sharing.

Emma.
