A La Naturale

Contributed by LovingWhispers on Monday, 13th October 2003 @ 08:21:10 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Alone I await the carriage
That will carry my body far
My destination,a coastal town
Where good friends and family are
Just myself here on this platform
A tiny junction near my home
Where loneliness does not exist
Just because I sit alone
For all about is nature's gift
A portrait of this pretty land
Her beauty is a wonderous thing
That many still don't understand

Fragile yellow petals
Dance on springtimes breeze
Miles and miles of countryside
More golden never seen
Only birdsong breaks the silence
With my eyes closed, they fill my senses
Out here where life is simple
The world holds no pretences
What you see is what you get
All you hear is more than this
And as I board the train, leave this town
I know her simplicity,I will miss

From my window seat,I gaze with love
Out across the emerald land
In her heart she holds the secrets
Beneath a breast never touched by man
Rolling hills and daffodils
Shine beneath a turquoise sky
Her breath,a mass of sun rays
Streaming down from heaven high
Mama cows feed their calves
Sleepy suckles after play
Harmonic soothing across the plains
Making good the natural way

Oh sharon, the beauty and the say just took my breathe away!
In my "mind's eye" I could visualise all the untouched beauty and the tranquil sky.
Your poems are so refreshing Sharon, and are so giving too! Because it allows us to feel all the things that you do too!
Nature is so simple, so natural, and sublime.
Your poems are such delicious tastes of our time!
