The Time Has Come

Contributed by faith_my_eyes on Sunday, 12th October 2003 @ 11:42:30 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

There were many times
I had the wool pulled over my eyes
There were many times
I've had Goliath crush my leigon of dreams
There were many times
I've had leeches suck me of my faith
There were amny times
Executioners chained my spirit in bondage
To lead me to the chopping block
There were many times
Daggers pierced my soul
But I put up my shield
So the evil could't penetrate my being.
But somehow the sadistic bees stung
And left their venom in the open wounds.
But now the time has come
To turn the vultures to doves and let them soar away
The time has come
To make an Exodus throguh the thorns of my heart
And heal the bitter wounds the hateful thorns left
The time has come
For a Diaspora of the anguish held within
To make an inner quest
To find a meaning to this all.
The territory is familiar to me
For I've made this journey before.
But when, I ask myself,
When will I neve rneed to search my soul
When will I get this obstacle right?
There were many times...
And there will be many more.
