At the close of day...........
We would run and get our jars,
To catch Fire Flies.

In the state of Jersey from where I come
Our fire flies were full of rum
A jar would fill a total sum
Of enough to make a rummy bum.
Belmar is a costal town
All went there to get a brown,
The beach was sandy as could be,
The girls were handy, teeheehee.
Now, Glo, I know you come from there,
From what town, I know not where,
But curious tho I sure may be,
You may have lived next door to me...

Dear Glo,
Watch that Norm...he used the same line on me..."You might have lived next door to me"
Your Hiaku was lovely, but we don't have those firing bugs in Wyoming, it's just too cold your know, it would be out their little lites before they could glo....but not you Glo with your beautifuf Hiaku...Yours is always glowing and flowing lovingly.

I love how everything ties in together, the title, background info, and the haiku itself. Cute poem! |
