We used to run and play
All through the day
Their was no pain
Just freedom
How I loved those days
Then what changed
Innocence lost
All at the hands of his touch
How my heart ached
To feel a warm embrace
He took my trust and swallowed it up
He took my safety and gave me fear
He took my security and gave me shame
Oh how I took the blame
Who was I to cry
I was just a little girl so lost inside
Behind my face was so much to hide
Why does he get to sleep at night?
When I stay up all night in fright
If only I could take it all back
I would stand up and fight
Not letting him take control of my life.
I can not take the past
But I can live at last
I will not carry shame or guilt
I will not give you the benefit of the doubt
I will no longer suffer from the pain
You can take your darkness out of me
Jehovah Jirah has set me free
He has put the light in me
His blood has freed me from all my sins
His love has cleansed me from within
His strength upholds my outer skin
His righteous hand declares I WIN
He takes the shackles off my feet
And freely I dance along the street
The steps I take have a whole new beat
Rejoicing, Rejoicing,
Oh how wonderful it is to be free!!!!
For the light of this world is within me

The God of freedom set you free
It was for you He died on that tree
Never more in shame you cry
Christ for you was crucified

Take care.
David
