The Zodiac Scorpio

PLUTO RULED
Scorpio Oct 24 - Nov 22

Mysterious Zodiacal Scorpio-
With the intense and truth-exposing sting,
Housed in times past with Planet Mars, - but Oh!
Did choose to dwell in Pluto's gloomy wing.

It was her wish to leave the god of war,
And to be to the glum realm transferred,
Preferring healing herbs and ointment jar
And surgeon's scalpel to the Martian sword.

The Scorpio is of Water Element,
Her task,- to work in fonts and wells profound,
Drive cleansing water gushing forth to lend
Its potent healing power from the ground.

In classical design vestigial
The serpent twining round the stern baton-
The emblem so familiar to us all-
Physicians' signal rod - the Scorpion.

Her Quality is "Fixed" - firm as cement-
Her Energy is feminine,- the YIN-
Is focused and of purposeful intent,
Joins magnetism to self-discipline.

Topaz - her Stone - Chrysanthemum her flower-
INTENSITY is Scorpio's second name,
Determination, passion and will power
Prod her to reach her goal and win her game.

As :"Fixed" a sign she has ability
To overcome obstacles in her way,
And turn desires to reality
Without ungainly hassle nor delay.

Intuitive, she does hypothesize,
Will listen, but herself is reticent,
Spots crooks like a detective in disguise,
Yet harbors longings for the transcendent..

The Scorpio-Phoenix-Eagle mystical,
Did give to Moses glorious victory,
When in the wilderness he held up tall
The Serpent "Wisdom" to the enemy.

But Christian folk designed the Scorpion
As phoenix risen, and then taking flight,
As Scorpio-winged Eagle of St. John
Who spoke - intense - and soared into the light.

Best wishes to all Scorpios!

Dear friend ED
My second daughter was Scorpio....and you hit it on her head when you described her. She left home as a very young girl, no pleading nrt gift would deter her!
"Please Mom, just let me do this myself!" I'll be all right. I haven't heard from her since. Don't know if she's dead or alive! Thank you for this timely message, and such a well written poem ED....It reminded me of my Cami....bless her heart wherever she may be, may she roam happily!
