The twilight canvas begins to flood into a scene of darkness, only illuminated by the shimmering stary blanket, like grains of burning sand sprinkled across an inky black cloth.
Across the harbour small black vessels occupy the placid, harmonious waters. The sun, retreating continuously. Its beams of radiance, piercing the mountaintops in its steady mellow descent. Stuttering a romantic lightness around the harbour bay.
The night drawing in, she lay close to me, scanning the late evening bustle of the harbour. The cove appeared to hug the beautiful, remaining…dieing rose pink atmosphere. Slowly but inevitably being corrupted by an abundant black coating, descending unfairly on the harbour town.
As the light fades around the harbour, the dieing sunset behind us, peer’s teasingly, one last time amongst the hills. Turning towards me, she smiles innocently, brimming with exquisiteness. How I wish this feeling could last for all eternity.
By now the starry cloth sat delightfully above me, and the sun had fallen helplessly beyond the hills. I was alone now…watching her figure radiating her own beams of beauty as she passed along the harbour sea front, the shimmer of her deep azure blue eyes, still evident from here. I watch her intently, as she passes along the cobbled walker street, slowly turning right…out of view. Turning onto my back...studying the stars, I whisper. I love you.
