Should a poet make a rhyme all the time?
Should a poet make a rhyme any time?
If the question should be asked,
Then the poet should be sassed,
Don't you know, poetry, is sublime.
Now, sublime is a word, meaning 'Grand',
'Grand' simply means you can't expand,
If your poem's the ultimate,
Then, look here, from where I sit,
Write the way, that you want, in this land.
Write of truth, write of lies,
write of earth, write of skies,
Write your write, no one cares,
Write of fish, write of bears,
Permission granted. all the way, by us guys.
Who are we, we're the readers,
We're not bashers, we're not beaters,
What you write, for this site,
Would be nice, were it light,
Ne'er the less we have no heaters.
By which I mean, you won't make money,
Just to write, you are a honey,
Write for real, how you feel,
Fudge a bit, I won't squeal,
Your aim should be to make life sunny.

Since your poem is "Aim" the Poet,
I'll not shoot from the hip.
Your aim is so much better.....
Don't abandon the ship!
This poem Norm is one of your best,
But then I haven't read even 1/2 of the rest!
Poetry should be free-flowing, like a person's personality.
Yours always come though as being just like you!
I'm going to give you a 5! A real live 5!
love,
ConSue |

Dear Norm,
Thanks so much for writing this!
It is so true. I know that many people
are not "taught" to write . Sometimes
there is rhyme but to me the poetry
lies in the way the words are crafted,
to complement one another.I really
loved this.
