Its cold
and nearly 3
my room is dark
my beds empty
there's a gentle glow
coming from the stereo
out my back door
a wave meets the shore
reminding me there's something more
through time and space
this moment leaves a trace
no bigger than the tear falling from my face
that represents the year we've been displaced.
