My Thoughts
I had hoped your new job, would be a new start
And stop us from slowly drifting apart.
But it’s happened all over again, can’t you see
You give everything to them, and save nothing for me!
Is there something, I have not been told
Which makes you treat me so icy cold.
I truly believe that you would not care
If the day finally came when I wouldn’t be there.
Love and respect is all I ask from you
So why do you find it so difficult to do.
I feel like a man, you don’t want me to be
And your finding it harder to tolerate me.
My mind is in turmoil, my heart is in pain
Could it be we may never be happy again?
Please help me escape from this miserable hole
What more can I give? Do you want my soul?
I constantly wonder where our love has gone
And I am finding it harder, remaining strong.
I want to go back to when we were lovers,
When you were fun all the time, not just in the company of others.
Don’t know how long I can go on hurting this way,
Is the time drawing close to call it a day?
I love you ***** and always will
But I can not keep on swallowing this bitter pill.

| Are you sure this is the first time that you have written any poetry? because this is absolutely amazing and I can relate to it in a way. not in the exact same way, but I can relate. you wrote this poem very well and I welcome you to YPDC |
