As I sit here tonight I am in awe of your majesty,
You are the awesome creator of the vastness I see,
You gave us these stars so that we can truly know that you love us,
I thank you Lord for giving me the eyes to see.
In awe I sit and look up,
You painted a tapestry up in the sky for me,
The canvas that you used is as black as ebony and as wonderful as you,
The stars are wonderful tonight.
I sit here in awe that you gave me this night,
Though I am tired and worn,
Smelly and gross, you gave me the eyes to see,
This beauty you call the night sky.
