You look so peaceful
Streched out between smooth silk
And soft cashmere
You're safe in this place
Reveling in my warm darkness
As calm as the night's air
As angelic as a child
Your expression is lost in sleep
I could spend eternity here
Just taking you in
Watching your patterned breathing
Life's simple rhythm
Your jaw seems chiseled from stone
Ebony cheeks so high and graceful
Five o'clock's shadow now five am's chore
But it compliments you lovingly
Your lashes reach out to perfection
And your brow slides away like the sun
Your lips are so full and soft
Much softer then this old heart
I wonder what wild dreams play
Beneath your closed eyes
I wonder if I am there
Running with you through fantasy
I kiss you just for comfort
To bless this moment we share
You turn and embrace me in your sleep
Your smile shows I'm always there
