An egg in a dozen the same as the rest
Plucked from a coop and ripped from a nest
No peep no caw not even a squawk
Not a rooster or duck or even a hawk
Just chilled in darkness until breakfast time
Crack!!! Out plops a yoke covered in slime
Hisss! Pop! and flipped upside down
Cut and chewed and then swallowed down
Then out again in a dark shade of brown
Down in the pool spinning round and round
jz
