When shifting sands of our desires
Dim the lights of grace
Will we then see the damages
That time cannot erase
When neither winds or rains
Nor blazing flames
Are wont to purge
The filthy stains
Of hopelessness and misery
That we ourselves have wrought
The failures and the pains
That upon our children
