Rat of the sands

The beauty of the sands is so seductive
So smooth that you'd throw yourself into it
and roll around with complete ecstacy
So warm and fulfilling that you could sink
your feet into it and enjoy the warm lotiony
feeling being pressed against your skin
But when you least expect it
it sucks you in and you become another victim
another slave being eaten alive
and once the corpse is nothing more than
blood stains, a new killer is born
awaiting the arrival of another victim
another beauty lover
this new killer
is merely another rock in the sand
this new born will change
You are now a murderer
You are now a rat of the sands

It's strange how people can change so quickly once they have been hurt for the first time. Often they become the very people that they used to despise. Great poem!
