Two People Who Once Shared the Same Heart

Two People Who Once Shared the Same Heart

Here I am back at square one
wondering why and how this journey ever begun
Now its all at an end
I have to pick the pieces of my heart up to be mended again
How could something that was so meant to be turn out not to be at all?
How am I supposed to do this anymore?
I don't know were to start
This time it really hit my heart
I wonder how can I trust or love again
I need strength to withstand
The fear has gripped me so tight, with all its power and its might
What if forever I will be alone, with no one ever to call my own
What if this was the way its supposed to be
I just had to have my blind eyes open to see
I threw it all away, and now what can I say
Can I say that I never cared?
No because I wouldn't dare
I cared very deep but this wasn't meant to be
The future we talked about never existed
it flew right by and missed us
Now we have to learn to trust and love again
and hopefully one day in the war of love we will win
I really did love you, but I could have never said I do
It wasn't meant to be for us, there was no destiny
Your destined to another call
and one day for love you will finally fall
Our future wasn't real
and now we will just have to learn to deal with the pain that has wounded deep and came on at its very peak
I still believe love is out there
and one day the game of love will be fair
to two people who are now so far apart who once shared the same heart.

Love is the most tread ground in this world. And that being so, it is also the place where one trips and falls far too often. But, rise again. There will come into your life another person who will learn to love you, who can share your fears and joys. Love does not happen just once in a lifetime, yet every time it appears, it feels as if it were so. It's OK. As one man said, "It's better to have loved and lost, then never have loved at all." Remember what you had, and let that memory be a good one. Just don't let it stand in the way if love comes knocking at your door again.
Wishing for the best in your life,
David

Thanks for the comments everyone. I agree that it is better to love once than never to love at all. I have no regrets about the relationship I was in. We still love each other, but you know when things are not meant to be forever and you should go seperate ways. I will never give up hope that there is someone out there for me that will be the right one. One day that person will sweep me off my feet. Thanks everyone;)
