Falling Under

Contributed by blackfire9786 on Monday, 6th October 2003 @ 07:28:47 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I’m so tired, exhausted
Going through the same routine day by day
I don’t see the point anymore
I’m starting to just wither away
At home, at school
Every day is so much the same
All the shouting and the fighting
Always trying to find someone to blame
I think my heart has given up
I don’t know if it’s even still there
I’ve fallen and recycled tears are flowing
And I find that I don’t even care.
Let my tears fall, let me waste away
It doesn’t really matter what happens
Tomorrow will be no different than yesterday
Memories flash before my eyes
I’ve given up trying to keep them back
Even a world of gray has different shades
But my world is now just a world of black.
Don’t try to awaken me from my slumber
From my coma of darkness I cannot stir.
My head falls to the ground one last time
One last time this blanket of nothingness
I have fallen under.
