Stumbling feet in the light of dusk
Cold, battered
Lacking trust.
Running into the frightening mists
Screaming, dreaming
Cutting thin wrists.
Feeling the blood dripping down like tears
Crying, dying
Heightening fears.
Sudden pressure clamping down on cold hands
Waking, breaking
Unable to discern,
"Be still my love, no one will hurt you;
Do not be afraid
I will not leave you".
Looking up into clear blue eyes
Seeking, delving
Yearining for lies.
Finally at peace after seeing not but truth
Smiling, accepting
Happy at last.
