NEVER IN MY TWENTY YEARS,
HAD I EVER SEEN THIS MAN CRY.
NEVER HAD A TEAR, COME ACROSS HIS EYE.
HE SEEMED TO BE THE STRONGEST MAN,
EVEN STEEL, COULD NOT COMPARE.
SEEMED HE NEVER HAD THE WILL, TO SHED A SINGLE TEAR.
CRYING WAS NOT FOR HIM,
TO THE WORLD HE SEEMED SO STRONG.
HE HAD HIS OWN WAY OF DEALING, WHEN THINGS IN LIFE WENT WRONG.
BUT A LIGHT OF THOUSAND LIGHTHOUSES,
BURNED WITHIN HIS EYES,
THE FIRST TIME HE SAW HIS NEW GRANDSON,
MY FATHER STARTED TO CRY.
